Placement and Restoration of Dental Implants

SINGLE TOOTH IMPLANT

Single tooth implants are utilized to conservatively replace a missing tooth (as opposed to a tooth-borne bridge, which requires you to drill away healthy tooth structure on neighboring teeth). Depending on the quality and quantity of bone around a non-restorable tooth, we are sometimes able to place an implant at the same time as the extraction. This can sometimes reduce the treatment time by 5-6 months, getting a final crown back in the mouth as fast as possible.

IMPLANT BRIDGES

A bridge utilizes multiple implants to replace a span of missing teeth. A bridge, like a single tooth implant, is often the most conservative route to restore missing dentition without needing a partial denture.

FULL ARCH IMPLANT BRIDGES

These restorations are also sometimes called “All-on-4”, “Hybrids”, “All-on-X” and teeth in a day. These solutions involve placing a number of implants across the entire maxilla or mandible and delivering screwed-in teeth that same day. This option is for people with or without teeth and is commonly done under sedation. This solution is Northlake Dental’s favorite method of restoring a failing environment and delivering beautiful teeth that are custom-designed to each patient’s smile and facial features. OVERDENTURES

These restorations are similar to full arch restorations except that they are able to be removed by the patient. Overdentures are similar in design to conventional dentures except with dramatically improved function and comfort. Click the manual at the top of the page for more information.
